"Operation Iceberg: The Battle for Okinawa" is a strategy game based on the historic World War II battle in which U.S. forces captured the island of Iwo Jima to secure airbases for the fight against Japan. You play as the U.S., while the computer controls the Japanese forces with five difficulty levels. An overview map of the island displays symbols representing terrain, minefields, enemy units, and your own forces. Players issue commands to their units in turns, with the outcomes calculated afterward. The objective is to defeat the Japanese forces and gain complete control of the island.
