| „Orion Quest“ takes place in the year 2554 – as the long-standing war between Earth and the planet Zarp reaches a critical stage. The Zarps have planted a massive bomb capable of destroying Earth and have threatened to detonate it unless their demands are met. Previous missions attempting to land on Zarp and retrieve the necessary data to disarm the bomb have failed. Now, only one last hope remains – the player takes on the role of the sole survivor of a mission that was shot down during landing. After surviving the crash, they find themselves stranded on the hostile planet – with no clear way back. The game combines graphical depictions of the surroundings with text-based descriptions, and interaction is handled by typing commands via the keyboard. |
