| Polaris puts you in command of the nuclear submarine Polaris on a mission in the North Sea to destroy enemy convoys. On an 8x8 grid you maneuver your vessel, detect freighters and warships with sonar, and evade depth charges fired at your position. Every torpedo shot reveals your location, so careful navigation and diving are key. Damage to holds or systems can cripple your submarine, with only some faults being repairable. The mission ends when your air supply runs out, the submarine sinks, or you achieve the required tonnage goal. |
