"Puzzle Panic" is a game where the player guides Benny, a light bulb, through various pattern-based puzzles. Each level can be played individually or as part of a larger puzzle where players discover the relationship between the symbols of the levels to solve the final challenge. In timed tasks like "Color Climb," Benny must ascend colored steps, with hints to the correct color displayed at the top of the screen. In other levels, like "Triangles First," Benny must touch specific shapes in order while avoiding a devil-shaped enemy. Players must recognize patterns of shapes, colors, numbers, or spatial arrangements. After each level, gates with symbols are revealed to help Benny understand the connection between symbols and levels. In the final level, the "metasequence," Benny must identify the symbols representing the levels and select them in the order they were played.
