Scooby-Doo was conceived as part of a larger Hanna-Barbera game series, offering a charming 3D-style arcade adventure featuring Scooby and his gang. With detailed cartoon visuals, light action sequences, and kid-friendly gameplay, it stood out as one of the most polished Scooby titles for the C64. However, a licensing fallout ended the partnership abruptly: after MicroIllusions released The Jetsons without proper approval, Hanna-Barbera revoked all rights, halting the series. Most of the games, though nearly complete, never saw release – leaving Scooby-Doo as a rare and impressive remnant of an ambitious but ill-fated project.
