In Sea Speller you control a dolphin helping a submarine reach the ocean floor before it runs out of air. You do this by collecting letter sponges and combining them into words shown on the sub's billboard. Each completed word lights up a panel on the submarine until it descends to the next level, where longer words are required. The faster you play, the higher the score, with leftover air awarding extra bonus points. Clever combinations can form multiple words at once, while special “magic words” related to the sea instantly advance you to the next stage. In addition to single-player mode, there's also a cooperative two-player option where turns are taken to achieve a shared score.
