| The Secret of Monkey Island takes you to the Caribbean, where young Guybrush Threepwood dreams of becoming a true pirate. On Melee Island, he learns that he must complete three trials to earn the title. Along the way, he meets Governor Elaine Marley and falls in love with her – much to the fury of the ghost pirate LeChuck, who wants Elaine for himself. With wit, courage, and plenty of humor, Guybrush must solve puzzles, combine items, and face hilarious dialogue challenges, including the famous insult swordfighting.
