Snake Pit is a fast-paced game in which the player controls a character in the shape of a grinning face. The goal is to eat all the eggs that completely fill the single screen space and survive as long as possible to reach the next level. Also in the field are several snakes with a different color. They cannot escape until you drill a hole in their wall by eating the eggs there. Only the Red Snake can move instantly. Once the snakes are free, they will also start eating the eggs and the player character must avoid their heads. Plus, with each egg they eat, their bodies grow longer, which can block their path. There is a strategy that involves walling up the snakes for as long as possible while avoiding the red snake. The goal is to eat all the eggs for the second phase to begin.
