| Software Star puts you in the role of a manager running a computer games company. Your goal is not only to make a profit but also to maintain the title of “Software Star” for ten consecutive months. You decide how much time to invest in game development, hire or fire staff, and manage your team's productivity. Advertising and public relations can be adjusted regionally, with the choice between honesty or hype. Seasonal effects such as weaker summer sales also come into play. At the end of each month you review your financial statement, and once a year the board evaluates your performance – if the results are poor, you risk being fired. |
