| Space Invaders challenges you to defend Earth from descending rows of aliens. At the bottom of the screen, you control a laser cannon, firing upwards to destroy the attackers before they land. The aliens march side to side and drop down a row each time they reach the edge. Clear them all to advance to the next, tougher level, but if even one alien lands, the game is over. Occasionally, a UFO passes along the top, offering bonus points if hit. Three shields above your cannon provide cover but block both enemy and your own shots, gradually breaking apart under fire. With limited cannons at your disposal, the game ends once all are destroyed. |
