Spore's location is a laboratory where dangerous spores are cultivated. Unfortunately, an outbreak occurred and the spores will soon infect places outside the laboratory. The only way to stop them is to use every available antidote against them - but the canisters are in said lab...

So the player's task is to travel through the non-scrolling levels and collect all the canisters. He can use his handgun to kill the spores that attack him - but they are replaced by a destructible spore generator. Extras that can be collected in the levels are helpful: flasks regenerate life energy and pills can be activated at any time to drive away spores for a short time. Other special fields include earth (which can be destroyed by the player or the spores being passed through) and impenetrable barriers (which can be deactivated and are sometimes reflected by mirrors).
