Surfchamp offers an exciting surfing experience. You can surf endlessly in practice mode without losing energy, or take part in a ten-round competition to get the highest score. Before surfing, you enter your name and stats, choose your board, suit to match the weather conditions, and check the forecast. The game starts on the beach, and you control your surfer from a slightly elevated rear view, choose a spot in the water, and paddle until a suitable wave comes along. Standing on the board, you control your surfer to perform tricks and ride the wave to the beach. Paddling and surfing decrease your energy, and when it runs out, the ride ends. A special feature of the game is the included plastic surfboard that is placed over the keyboard; by pressing certain areas, you control your surfer.
