"Test Master" is a management game where the player competes against the computer in either a single match or a series of three or five one-day games, playing as one of the top seven international teams. Each match can last between 40 and 60 overs per side. Before the game, a team of eleven players is selected based on their batting, bowling, and wicket-keeping abilities. A coin toss determines who bats first, after which strategies must be set according to weather and pitch conditions. The fielding side can choose from nine different field placements. The gameplay is presented from a top-down view of the entire field, accompanied by a running commentary detailing the shots played, who fielded the ball, and how many runs were scored.
