“Viper Patrol” is a strategic first-person space shooter where the player controls a combat ship from the cockpit view. Using a quadrant map, the player can monitor satellite arrays that power the planet's mines and track both their own position and approaching Myon ships. The Myons attack these satellites, damaging them — two onboard droids can repair both the satellites and the player's ship. The ship is equipped with various scanners and a manual or automatic targeting system. Shields provide protection but weaken with each enemy hit. The game ends if the planet's power supply is cut off due to heavily damaged satellites.
