| Zona Roja is a Phoenix-style shooter where you fend off waves of aliens in side view before facing the heavily defended Eagle Empire. Enemies appear at the top of the screen and swoop down in attack runs, trying to shoot or crash into you. With three lives, you can use a shield for protection and must react quickly. After four waves you reach the huge mothership, blasting away its shield to destroy the alien inside. Once defeated, the game restarts with faster, more aggressive enemies. In two-player mode turns alternate, and extra lives are awarded at 10,000 points and every additional 20,000 points. |
