Atom Hunt is a game for up to four players. The object is to deduce the position of a number of atoms placed on an 8 x 8 grid. The atoms are found by shooting rays into the grid. Three things can happen to a ray.
1. A ray is absorbed when it goes directly into an atom, as has happened to the ray starting at point A.
2. A ray is deflected at right angles by an atom in the next row to its path. The ray from point R is relfected 3 times before emerging at point C.
3. A ray can be reflected back on itself and that can happen in one of two ways. A reflection can happen as a result of two simultaneous deflections, as happens to the ray from point D.
Alternatively, a ray will be reflected if there is an atom on the edge of the grid, next to the point. Having deduced the position of an atom, enter Guess Mode to select the square you suspect. |
