Field Marshall Basil Spice, well known gourmet, raconteur and bon vivant, has arrived at Brighton for a well-earned weekend break. Weary from his effort to plan the British war campaign, he takes a rest on his estate. Unfortunately, Brighton has come under attack by a pack of scavenging dodo birds. Armed with his trusted blunderbuss and three barrage balloons, Basil must save Brighton from the dodo invasion.
The player controls Basil's balloon, which can move in all directions. Basil can fire a short distance left or right, but must be careful not to hit his own bullets or the enemy planes, dodos, or other dangers that move through the sky. Any damage to his balloon and Basil experiences an unhealthy descent. Lose three balloons, and it's game over. Every 5000 points, the dodos fly faster and the blunderbuss range is shortened. |
