Those nasty viruses have returned. Dr. Mario, vitamin pills in hand, is ready to eliminate them once more. In addition to the ever-popular 2-player game, you can challenge the computer as the Blue, Yellow, or Red Virus. A direct clone of the NES original, Dr. Mario allows one or two players to play in a Tetris-like pill-rotating style. Colored germs must be wiped out by dropping pills to create lines of four matching colors. Alone, the game promotes quiet concentration, but with a second player, it becomes a ruthless battle. Completing lines sends random gunk to the opponent's side, creating chaos. The graphics and music are improved over the NES version, making it a fine two-player game that can cause tempers to flare, so have fun but remain friends!
