Galaxian is a shoot 'em up where the player is at the bottom of the screen and controls a spaceship called "Galaxip" with the aim of eliminating aliens. The enemies appear in formation at the top of the screen with two escort ships. The player moves left and right to aim at an alien, then shoots a bullet and the alien he meets is killed. The aliens are classified as drones, emissaries, hornets, and commanders, with those higher up the screen scoring more points if destroyed. At set intervals, an enemy moves towards you on the screen and escorts a bomber.The Galaxip can only fire a single shot on the screen and must wait until it reaches the top before it can fire another.
The enemy's movement increases as the game progresses along with the number of shots the enemies fire. |
