The European PSX version of Magical Drop 3 has loads of different modes, including a board game challenge mode you can play with a friend. You take it in turns to roll the dice and attempt challenges and steal money from each other in a race to the end. The second disk which has the original game (called this time Magical Drop Plus 1) has extras like original art and sketches galleries, extra puzzles and slightly altered playing style. GAMEPLAY: The game is set up with the player's character at the bottom of the screen and a block of balloons at the top of the screen. In single player mode the object of the game is to keep popping the balloons so that the balloon block never reaches the bottom of the screen. Players can do this by pulling down one or more columns of balloons of the same color and sending them back up another column. There are four different types of balloons, identified by color. When the player sends balloons up so that they create a vertical row of three same colored balloons with what's already on the column, all the balloons of that color horizontally or vertically connected to the column in some way pop. |
