Atom is an educational game to teach children about the elements.
The player controls a gravitron, which circles around the central atom on the screen. The central nucleus is surrounded by 2 spinning rings, an inner energy level and an outer barrier ring. The goal is to pick up stray electrons, and shoot them towards the spaces within the inner ring, so that they become a part of the atom. If the player shoots the barrier ring with an electron, the inner nucleus will explode. The player must hide behind a gravitron bunker in the corner of the screen to survive. The player starts with 3 gravitrons, and it's game over when they are lost. A countdown in nanoseconds tells the player how long they have left to create the required atoms. The player creates the first 52 elements. |
