MSX version

Beam Rider is a clone of the arcade game Electric Yoyo, which, while not
being a hugely popular game even in the arcades, did have some unique gameplay. Basically, you
have to eat all the dots (ala Pacman), but you have to be able to "string" across to the next dot...
or you will move very slowly. Also, since there are things you can run into for bonus points,
and things that you must avoid, you have to be careful in deciding which square to "yoyo" to;
especially when going across long distances between dots. As soon as you string across to a new dot, you
are committed to having your YoYo travel the length of the string; you can not reverse course or
change direction. So, if an enemy runs into you or your string at this point, you die.

Each subsequent screen has a different arrangement of the dots to go through, making it more
challenging.
