A maze exploration/survival game. As you start the game (after the title screen which plays a rendition of The Entertainer, the screen quickly flashes an overhead map of the five levels of a dungeon, after which you find yourself at the middle level.

You move your character in block increments through the dungeon, with the objective to find nine pieces of an ancient shield. You are working against time, since a gauge on the right side of the screen is running down. When the gauge is depleted, you lose one of your three lives. Another way to lose a life is to run into one of the blobby monsters. Fortunately, you are not unarmed. If you are on the same horizontal level as a monster, you may fire your boomerang, which bounces back to you after hitting a monster or a wall.
