Spidercide is an original arcade, based loosely on the Tholian Web
episode of the original Star Trek TV series. In this game, Spiders are drawing webs that
trap you, and will eventually collide with and kill you. You can shoot the spiders (the screenshot
above that shows the different point values shows that some spiders can only draw straight webs, and
others can change direction), and you can shoot the web, but only very small portions at a time. The challenge is
to not get trapped.
The game also had "different" than normal joystick controls; left and right rotated you, and
forward and back thrust you forward or backwards (you don't just travel in the direction you point the joystick at). |
