Gauntlet, the hit arcade game, is a fighting game where you choose a character and unleash your wrath against hordes of enemies that assault you to the end of the level. 1 or 2 players must fight their way through 100 levels of chaos and magic.

You can choose from 4 characters, each equipped with different weapons. Thor the Warrior wields a blunt battle axe. Thyra the Valkyrie wields a short-range sword. Questor the Elf wields his long-range bow and Merlin the Wizard wields magic bolts.

Ghosts, goblins and even life-draining creatures are your foes. Enemies erupt from generators, so destroy them before clearing others.

Keys are needed to open the many doors in the levels and in some situations, a door contains only bonus items, with no progressive path. The scattered magic potions act like smart bombs and eliminate all enemies on the screen. Beware of poison, however, as it reduces your energy level. Treasures are plentiful throughout the levels and increase your score.
