Long ago, a secret war raged between Heaven and Hell, in which both sides used humanity as a bargaining chip. While the supreme evils of Hell were involved in the war, their lesser lieutenants conspired to overthrow them. They suddenly mutinied with the combined forces of Hell and overpowered the three Primes. Stripped of their power, they were banished to the mortal world. When human agents of Heaven discovered this, they found the three Primes and imprisoned them in gemstone prisons, sending each of them to a different corner of the Earth and guarding them to prevent them from escaping.
