Everybody thought that after the Tetris masters who crash-landed into the Puyo Puyo universe left, they would never see the Puyo Puyo characters again. But try telling that to a certain girl named Marle, who for some reason has mixed together the Puyo Puyo and Tetris universes, causing the Tetris masters to once again crash-land into the Puyoverse. But why? And who knows what the consequences may be? There's only one way to find out...
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, the direct sequel to Puyo Puyo Tetris, pits 28 characters (at first) against each other in the hopes of unraveling this mixed-up universe of Puyo Puyo and Tetris and bringing things back to normal. As always, the object of the game is to score the longest chain possible and drown opponents in a sea of Nuisance Puyo and/or extra blocks. The rules change each time, but a new wrinkle has been added to the five modes from the last game in the form of the Skill Battle. In Skill Battle, players control a team of 3 characters, each with a special skill that uses MP when used. With this in mind, the team's goal is to reduce the opposing team's HP to 0. |
