| Simon, a young teenager, decides to abandon his tedious homework to martyr his dog (a far more entertaining activity). He finds the dog in question in the attic, barking at a dusty old book: a book of spells. Unexpectedly, a beam of light bursts from the book and opens a dimensional door. The dog blithely and recklessly runs through the door, and Simon hastens to follow. Dressed in a sorcerer's robe, Simon finds himself in a world of heroic fantasy. His mission: to rescue Calypso, the great master sorcerer, from the hands of the very fearsome and unsympathetic Sordid, the sorcerer of evil ... |
