Space Wrek is a clone of the arcade game Star Trek Simulator, a color vector graphics game. Basically, you take on the roll of
the Starship Enterprise, and go through sectors of space, destroying Klingons and protecting the
Federation's starbases. You also have to deal with asteroids on certain levels. Unlike most Star Trek
games of the early 1980's, which were either text based or text with graphical maps, this version
is more arcade like, and features a 3D viewscreen view of where you are flying (as well as a top view map). Another nice feature is
the intro; the opening credits simulate the opening credits of the original Star Wars movie, including the
letters flying off into the distance. |
